Splish Splash We are having a Bash!! We are very excited that our St. Gabriel Dance-a-thon is returning on Thursday, April 20th. This event will be an opportunity for all students to participate in physical activity and help raise money for their school community. Our Dance-a-thon will be Beach themed and students may dress in appropriate attire for this event (shorts, sunglasses, sun hats, etc). All donations are very much appreciated!
We have some great prizes available from local businesses including– Twin Valley Zoo, Crumbs & Cream, Canada’s Wonderland, The Museum, Domino’s Pizza, Drayton Entertainment, Schooltee, KW Titans Basketball, Royal Ontario Museum, Emerald Lake, Moxie’s Restaurant, Lunchbox Orders, Cambridge Centre Mall and Emerald Lake.
All funds raised will help support students at St. Gabriel in various areas in both the classroom and school environments. The goal of our fundraiser is to support several initiatives such as:
- Chromebook cart to support access to devices for students
- Science supplies & tools
- New classroom recess equipment
- New Physical Education equipment
- New team uniforms
- Enhancements to our outdoor learning spaces
Please ask family members and family friends to pledge. We ask that students not go door to door and ask strangers for pledges.
For every $5 in Dance-a-thon pledges, students will receive one ticket for the prize basket table. Note: the average student submits $25+ and donations of $25 or more are eligible for a tax receipt. Please note: all pledges must be completed on St.Gabriel SchoolCash Online by Thursday, April 13th to be eligible for prizes. ***NO CASH OR CHEQUES WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE SCHOOL***
A “Beach Bag” treat bag will also be available for purchase through SchoolCash Online for $5. This bag will be similar to the Christmas Cheer treat bags that were available this year.
Each class has chosen a theme to collect donations from families for a prize basket. Themes include chocolate, craft supplies, candy, ice cream party, summer outdoor toys, fidget toys, baking, pool fun, beach day, art supplies, a spa day, games, family movie night, cookies and gift cards. We appreciate all donations and know the students are quite excited!
