Dear Parents/Guardians,

We want to remind you of the upcoming student immunization date scheduled for Wednesday, March 27, 2024. On this day, any students whose immunization records are not up to date will face Immunization suspension.

We kindly ask families to ensure that their child’s immunization records are current with the Region of Waterloo Public Health.

In the event that your child’s records are not up to date, and they arrive at school on Wednesday, March 27th, please be aware that we will need to contact you to pick up your child promptly. Unfortunately, they will not be permitted to remain at school as per the guidelines set by the Waterloo Region of Public Health.

We appreciate your cooperation in this matter and thank you for your assistance.

This upcoming Friday, March 22nd, marks The Great Gulp event. We’re rallying all staff and students to unite in reducing our carbon footprint by exclusively using reusable bottles. Let’s refrain from bringing single-use items like Tim Horton coffees or plastic water bottles, opting instead for sustainable choices. Your ongoing support is deeply appreciated.

Today on March 6^th, 2024, as part of Social Work Week in Ontario, the staff and students of St. Gabriel School would like to take the opportunity, to say a huge THANK YOU to all our Social Workers!  Your contributions to our school community are often overlooked and understated, but we want to let you know today, and this week especially, that your role on our team is valued!  Your commitment to our students when they are at their most vulnerable and your willingness to support the many adults in our buildings, demonstrate that you are here for us!  Knowing that someone like each of you is there to support us is reassuring and comforting.  Your role is vital to the success of our system, and we wanted to make sure that today especially, you know how thankful we are for YOU Mr. Guayasamin!

Friday, March 1, 2024, is Lunch Hour Supervisor Appreciation Day!

The staff and students of St. Gabriel School would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our Lunch Hour Supervisors!  They are outside in the rain and the cold, cover our classes for us, support us in classrooms when we are short, but MOST importantly, build relationships with our entire school community!  Our schools would not be the same without you and we are so thankful for you! You are truly superheroes and today we want to say THANK YOU!
