Attention Parents & Guardians,

As winter approaches and the wet/ snowy weather continues to come, we just want to remind all parents, guardians and caretakers that we encourage the use of the stairs when picking up or dropping off your child. Crossing across the grass can be slippery when wet and we don’t want anyone to get hurt on the slopes entering the school. Please use the stairs.

The Saint Gabriel Book Fair continues on Wednesday & Thursday night from 3:45-7:30 pm.

Families are welcome to come to the Gym door (enter off back parking lot).

Credit or debit only (sorry, no cash).

The Book Fair helps support new books in each Saint Gabriel classroom for students to read.

Jeremiah 33:14-16

33:14 The days are surely coming, says the LORD, when I will fulfill the promise I made to the house of Israel and the house of Judah.

Advent is a time to joyfully prepare. The word itself means coming or arrival. We prepare our hearts and minds for celebrating Jesus’ birth at Christmas. You may want to pray more, participate in Sunday Mass, have an Advent wreath, or create family traditions. No matter what you do, remember the reason you are preparing.

Each week staff and students will engage in a virtual liturgy to celebrate the theme for that week and by lighting the Advent Candle as a school community and on our school altar. The first candle is the candle of HOPE. It reminds us that we are the light and can spread hope. We can shine a light in dark places by providing kind gestures or kind words to those in need.

We were just notified that Dole Whip orders for today (Wednesday, November 29) have been delayed by the supplier till tomorrow. Students that ordered for today have been also notified. Thank you for your understanding.

Hello Saint Gabriel Families,

We are thrilled to announce the return of the Scholastic Book Fair. Students will have an opportunity to preview the books available on Tuesday, December 5th during the school day. Families will have an opportunity to shop “in person” at the school on the following days:

Tuesday, Dec. 5th from 3:45-7:30 pm

Wednesday, Dec. 6th from 3:45 to 7:30 pm

Thursday, Dec. 7th from 3:45 to 7:30 pm

• Students who wish to shop “in person” must be accompanied by an adult.
• Electronic payments (debit and credit card) will be accepted. Unfortunately, we CANNOT accept cash.
• The Book Fair will be located in the Gym. Families can enter off the tarmac after 4 pm.

Funds generated from Book Fair sales help supply St. Gabriel students with new books in each classroom. Thank you for your continued support!
